Initiated by the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia and with support from the USAID project Governing for Growth (G4G), a two-day seminar for journalists took place in Kakheti, on 12-13 November 2016. The seminar covered DCFTA-related topics and trade relations between Georgia and the EU.
Up to 20 journalists, working in TV, radio, internet and printed media participated in the seminar. Mr. Genadi Arveladze, Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, provided participants with information regarding the DCFTA. Presentations were held by representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture of Georgia, the Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance, National Centre of Intellectual Property and the Economic Council of the Georgian Government.
