On 19 June 2017, at the exhibition and event centre Expo Georgia, the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia presented the information website for the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area (www.dcfta.gov.ge). The presentation was attended by Georgia’s Prime Minister, Mr. Giorgi Kvirikashvili; the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Mr. Giorgi Gakharia; the Ambassador of the EU to Georgia, Mr. János Herman; the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH ( representative, Katja Kammerer; as well as representatives of the Georgian Parliament, donor organizations, the diplomatic corps, non-governmental organizations, the business sector, and other state agencies of Georgia.
Mr. Genadi Arveladze, Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, presented the website to the invited guests.
The website covers all DCFTA-related matters and provides a platform that makes practical, legislative, and otherwise relevant information easily accessible for entrepreneurs and other stakeholders, in both the Georgian and English languages. Notably, it also allows all interested parties to provide feedback or suggestions to relevant agencies regarding draft normative acts within the frames of the DCFTA.
The website was created by the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, with the support of the EU-GIZ project SME Development and DCFTA in Georgia.
