EU4Business, EIB and EIF with the involvement of and through ProCredit Holding are going to support small and medium-size enterprises (SMEs) in Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine under the EU4Business initiative. Agreement that is already signed provides investment of 100 million euros in Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.

EU4Business initiative aims at increasing of the access to finance for small and medium businesses by:

• Providing a 70% guarantee on each loan;
• Offering favorable conditions, including reduced collateral requirements.

EU4Business initiative supports SMEs, where the number of employees does not exceed 249, and the requested funding amount is from EUR 25,000 to EUR 1,390,000 (with corresponding exchange rate in USD or GEL).

EIB group within the agreement with EU acts only in the countries which have association agreement (DCFTA). With the help of EU4Business initiative EU supports development of private sector via growing grant-availability, business environment improvement and consulting service for local businesses in eastern friendship countries.
